The Boys
Mr. Black = "Mr. Black" lives in Ohio.
Mr. Green = "Tucker" lives in Ohio
TUCKER IS AN INCREDIBLE DOG. HE'S VERY BRIGHT.
LEARNS VERY QUICK. NOW...GETTING HIM TO REPEAT THE TASK TAKES A LITTLE
MORE THAN JUST A SIMPLE REQUEST. IT'S BEEN SAID THAT CHESSIE'S ARE A
HEAD STRONG, ONE MAN DOG. YEP.....AND I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY.
EVEN AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE, HE TESTS MY DOMINANCE. AND ONCE I ASSURE HIM
THAT I'M THE ONE IN CHARGE, HE COMPLETES HIS TASK JUST AS HAPPY AS HE
COULD BE. HE'S JUST PACKED FULL OF PERSONALITY. THE LITTLE GROWLS OF
CONTENTMENT, THE YAPS, WHICH TELL ME TO PICK UP THE PACE....LET'S GET IT
GOING. HE'S JUST A WONDERFUL DOG TO WORK WITH AND I THANK YOU FOR
PROVIDING ME AND ALL THE OTHER LUCKY PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO'VE RECEIVED
PUPPIES FROM YOU. YOU'LL BE RECEIVING PICTURES OF HIM SHORTLY. 2-6-06 Todd
Tuckers doing great. Although, he is being neutered next
Tuesday, he may advised to the contrary. Should be interesting. Other
than that, he really is doing quite well. Training is fantastic. He's
a machine. Every day at 5:30p he's at the ready, anticipating. Rain or
shine, he just can't wait to get to the games. Heals off lead very well
now. That took some doing, I'll tell you. He went through the phase
were he wouldn't come directly to me and release to hand. Lasted a
couple weeks, but finally worked itself out. All things considered, for
being just a six month old, he surprises me nearly every day. 5/16/06 Todd
Mr. Blue = "Trooper" is in MD.
Treasure Lake Storm Trooper
He is doing great. We started puppy class last night. 2/16/06 Matthew
Trooper is doing great! He is the best Christmas present I have ever received. He is a lot of fun and a bundle of energy. He is a very intelligent and he is a quick student, when he feels like it. He is working on his manners and is doing well in puppy class. Trooper went to preschool today to pick up my son Drew and he was the hit of the hallway! He did a great job meeting new people and was very excited with all the attention he received. He is very much an attention hog and if he feels he isn't getting his share of pets he will let you know with his little rhoorhoo. All of the moms and kids loved him. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to have such a wonderful addition to our family! 3/1/06 Donna
Trooper is doing great. He started his second phase of puppy training on May 2nd. He is very excited around our pool and the lake but seems to be hesitant to jump in. He loves to get on the steps in our pool and wades in the lake but when it comes to swimming he gets nervous. He has fallen in the pool and off the dock because he is too close to the edges, I think this has him a little cautious. 5/9/06
The Girls
Miss Multi = "Red Hawk"
Treasure Lake Ray's Red Hawk

Falcon in the back Red Hawk in the front, waiting to help cook dinner. |
Red Hawk just chilling out. |
Red Hawk stayed with me and is causing the house to turn on end. She is very sweet and cute. Too cute, one look into those baby green eyes and she gets away with everything. I think all the other puppies are farther along in their training then she is. I'm working on house training (she hasn't got it at all). I'm working on sit (she does sometimes), but the one thing that she did learn quickly is that the whistle means to come running. She likes playing with all the other dogs and sitting in my lap in the evenings. She does retrieve her rope chew several times a day and returns straight to me. She is best at stealing the pillows off the couch and the throw rugs out of the bathroom, both end up on the front room floor. I still need to take some pictures of her. You know how it is when there's more than one kid, the last one never has a photo album. 2/6/06 Kathy
Red Hawk now has her own page. She has become a junior hunter and is working on her conformation, agility and senior hunter titles. 12/28/07
Miss Silver = "Jessie" new home is in NC
Treasure Lake Jessie Buckeye JH
Jessie is doing great. She is sitting on voice command and sometimes the whistle. She started retrieving consistently yesterday. She likes to go for walks, and likes to chew on her leash while walking. I am amazed at how smart she is. 1/11/2006 Aaron
She has started puppy kindergarten and is responding well to my instruction. Her
retrieving is pretty good. She likes to retrieve sticks and other stuff she
likes, but not necessarily the ball I throw. I'm just trying to keep it fun
for her. She is still nipping when she first gets up or when we get home
from work, but that seems to be getting better. 1/17/06 Aaron
Jessie is approx 6
months now and weighs over 50 pounds and stands a little over knee
high. We love her so much and can’t imagine life without
her. She has turned out better than we imagined. Her
temperament is great and she is surprisingly calm for her age and
breed. She loves kids and other dogs. Her obedience
training is going well. She has learned several commands and a
few tricks as well. Although she decides not to do them at
times. She tests
Miss Purple = "Dixie" is in Georgia.

Miss Yellow = "Ruby"

It's my duck and you can't have it. |
Lip smacking good. |
Since I joined my new family I have had a very busy schedule. I have been to the vets for my check ups and follow up shots. I now weigh a little over 17 pounds! I am all over my cough and am feeling fine. I am getting much better at the housebreaking and really getting used to my crate. I have been going for hikes all over my new farm. I see lots of cows, rabbits, deer, turkeys, squirrels and geese. Recently I got to go on my first hunting trip. My new owner got us a few ducks and geese. I could carry the ducks around but the geese were a little to big for me yet! I liked splashing around in the water and cattails. It was a lot of fun. I really like going for rides in the car especially when we go to the bus stop and to preschool to pick up McKenzie. There sure are a lot of kids there that like to pet me. The kids that live in my new house also like to take me outside to play. I will have to get better at not jumping on them when we play. I am getting pretty good at sitting and coming on command if I do say so myself! I like to fetch my toys, dummies and wings( as well as the more than occasional shoe or slipper). Tell Glacier and Miss Multi that I really like it here! I am getting a little tired right now. I think I will take a little nap in my usual spot at the bottom of my owners easy chair! 1/20/06 Ruby
So many ducks to chose from. 5/11/06 Duck hunting the real thing winter 2006/2007
Miss Red = "Paikea" or "Pai"
Pai at home in NC and having fun visiting the riding stable.

Grooming horses is so tiring! |
Bath time again but I like the way I smelled. |
We have been amazed at how fast she has been growing and how quickly she learns (not always in a positive manner). We weighed her last Thursday and she was 27lbs (surely more by now). She's getting longer, her paws are huge and she needs to grow into her ears and legs. In one photo she's posing pretty well and you can see that her body is taking shape -- she's lost most of her roundness and is getting a chest and waist. 2/8/06 Dave

Just try to take my stick |
Playing Cowboy is so much fun |
Pai is everything Carley and I had expected. She is a 60lb bundle of energy most of the time -- lots of puppy left. She does enjoy her naps, however, when Carley doesn't have her out at the farm. Her personality and fun-loving nature is developing and we can see her intelligence more clearly now than the last time I wrote. As she continues to get older, Pai's attention to us grows and the training we have been working on has solidified. She is going to a short training class this weekend to help close some of the gaps Carley and I see in her behavior. Selecting photos today reminded me how quickly she has grown and how quickly she has become an integral part of our lives. And even though she probably will never be a trial dog, or true hunting retriever, her "ball drive" and retriever skills come out every time she searches for a thrown stick and every time she refuses to stop fetching even though its dark out. 6/4/06 Dave
